Reconciling nautical activities and natural environments

New CIPEL campaign: Protecting Lake Geneva while promoting leisure activities

CIPEL is launching its summer campaign to promote water sports activities while protecting the natural environment of our region's largest island of freshness: Lake Geneva.

Whether you're a paddler, a swimmer or simply looking to relax by the water, it's essential to adopt the right practices to combine the pleasure of the lake with the preservation of its ecosystems.

🪧 With this in mind, we've deployed new information panels around the lake, illustrated by a map listing in particular: water access, leisure facilities, sensitive natural environments.

This project has been made possible thanks tothe commitment of local communities , who have installed personalized signs and whom we warmly thank for their involvement:

  • French municipalities: Chens-sur-Léman - Evian-les-Bains - Neuvecelle - Sciez - Thonon Agglomération
  • Swiss municipalities: Anières - Bellevue - Céligny - Collonge-Bellerive - Corseaux - Founex - Gland - La-Tour-de-Peilz - Lausanne - Montreux - Rolle - Saint-Saphorin - Port-Valais

➡️ Find all the information and the interactive map on our dedicated page.

➡️ Download the general panel and feel free to display it (print in A3 format):

🤝 This approach illustrates our desire to support local players and the general public towards more responsible and sustainable uses of Lake Geneva.
